I've loved Enya for almost 20 years now. I've never really "listened" to the lyrics though, just the melody and the beauty of her voice. Once I actually listened to these words, I was brought to tears. I take care of my grandma and I see her dwindling away from me. I pictured myself a year from now when she might be gone and these words made me cry, from the very first line "Where are you this moment? Only in my dreams" I listened on and it just made me realize I needed to cherish every moment I still have with her. "I'm lost now without you, I don't know where you are. I keep watching, I keep hoping, but time keeps us apart." Meaning, I'll see you when my time comes. This song makes me love Enya even more than I did. She is my favorite artist. |
