| Friendly Fires – Live Those Days Tonight Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| The way I take it is a guy who's jealous of a girl's past, yet he's going to "live those days tonight". Presumably sexually? | |

| Interpol – All of the Ways Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
"All of the ways You will make it up Make it up for me" I think that the narrator is kidding himself that this girl is making the whole thing up about her and some other guy with him in mind / to make him jealous when in reality, she's probably just moved on. |

"I'mma need to see your fucking hands at the concert" Love that. As if it's necessary to feed an ego up on stage. Brilliant song. |

| Bloc Party – Cain Said to Abel Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
Possibly the most important part: Cain said to Abel "Brother I've been bad And I can't find my glasses" Seems to me that truly he isn't sorry and he's almost oblivious to the effects of his bad actions. He automatically asks where his glasses are so that he can have a drink. |

| Bloc Party – Plans Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
Quite simply it's a song about dragging yourself out of an apathetic state so that you can do something productive with your life. It's also about having the mental strength to carry on when your 'big plans for big times' have been 'bogged down and distracted'. Don't get yourself down over the events that are going on around you in the world because as much as it may seem like it at times, you're not the only one worrying. |

| Bloc Party – One Month Off Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
I think the song's coming from a boy/man's point of view - he has strong feelings for a girl 7 years younger than himself. His friends say it's not right. He's playing a 'waiting game' - perhaps for the girl to be of age which is really getting him down. The girl doesn't want to wait around for him and begins to play round with other people to which he 'lashes out' and wonders 'what can they do, that I can't?'. 'Stuck on a dream that somewhere is better, You'll be the one missing out' - As said before, the girl plays around with other people in the hope that she will find happiness. Kele is saying that in the end she will realise she's missed out on being with him. Basically he then has enough and decides to fight fire with fire as he's had enough. |

| Editors – The Big Exit Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
Think it's about the hurt of somebody who feels strongly for somebody but the feelings are not mutual. The 'they took what once was ours' part makes me think it could be about a relationship that has ended due to the actions of others. |

| Editors – The Boxer Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| I think it's basically a song about being uncomfortable in your surroundings. | |
| Editors – Open Your Arms Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
Pretty much agree with what's been said already. However another way I've looked at it - perhaps it's somebody weighing up what he has been advised with his own experiences. He is advised to always welcome people into his life with open arms but he's finding it a struggle when he looks at how he's been treated when doing so in the past. Or - maybe Tom is referring to society's refusal to accept people. He is talking about somebody that has been mistreated throughout their life and he is pleading to the listener to make the difference and 'open their arms and welcome'. |

| Editors – A Life As A Ghost Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
I have interpreted this song to be about somebody who feels no love/has lost love and therefore lives life 'as a ghost' - secluding themselves from the world and the people around them. They attempt to disillision themselves that living this way is better than how 'most' live. Boredom and spite takes over - they 'pick their poison' (get drunk) and go out in a 'violent haze'. They then drink more to 'wash their sins down the drain' and to clear their conscience. The viscious circle begins! |
