I think are right! I thought I deciphered this sentence and when 'the penny dropped' I almost cried. It might sound convoluted or maybe I'm trying to stretch it to what I want to see, but I thought it was a great concept. and the time rewinds to the end of (me) i wish we'd never met that man today This is what I hear, but it would only make sense if it was fastforward, but nonetheless - I like the concept so I'll push onward. He rewinds to the end of me... which originally is the idea of him and his girl lasting forever, which is now just realised and concreted today, to be him by himself, either alone or not with his love... He wishes he'd never met the new idea of his future self that is without her today. I thought it was a good thought - hurtful but good. I wish it were, but when I listen to it again, it defiantly says "may", not "me". Wishful thinking I guess. |
