Porcupine Tree – Sleep Together Lyrics 15 years ago
In context with the commentary the album is making, I believe the equation of sexual contact and suicide is that the "Blank Planet" culture is committing a sort of "sexual suicide;" the song is critical of how the Blank Culture has turned sex into a sort of meaningless trifle (also evident in the lyrics of the album's title track: "Sex is kinda fun/But just another empty way of using up all the days"). The defiant, almost angry tone Steven Wilson has in the song's chorus mirrors the angry defiance someone might have in a situation such as this.

Porcupine Tree – Slave Called Shiver Lyrics 15 years ago
Yes, "Jesus Christ" should be capitalised. Even if you don't believe in God, Jesus Christ is still a name so by laws of grammar it should be capitalised.

The only line that weirded me out was the aforementioned one, which to me seems to be a direct reference to John Lennon's famous quip, "We're [The Beatles] more popular than Jesus Christ." In this context, the lyric means that in a way to cope for the lack of love given to him by the girl in question, the speaker will become famous enough to drown her out.
