| Jars of Clay – The Chair Lyrics | 15 years ago |

I love this song. I've always felt this song was about a woman who was trying maintain a positive attitude after becoming confined to a wheelchair - "her chair a prison door left open". She always knew what to say to respond to other people's reaction to her situation, she'd dream of dancing, she'd call out "hi-ho Silver", I imagine as a joke to help break the ice or to help make someone she just met less uncomfortable with her being in a wheelchair. Of course, I could be way off, but that's just what I was able to put together in my mind from the lyrics. |
