This song is so great.<3 I have trouble analyzing it, but one thing I noticed immediately with listening to the song was the line "I want a verb & you give me a noun." Not sure if anyone has said this already, but I understand it as he just wants to do physical things with her, while she wants love. |

this is about the songwriter's relationship with his ex. i would assume he caught her cheating on him. but she had his name tattooed on her arm probably days before they broke up, since it was "still freshly inked & scabbing". they must have only been engaged for a week , "when you said forever, i guess you meant a week". i analyzed this song for an english class last year. every song off this album was about his ex. |
