This is one of my favourite songs by Missy Higgins, or by anyone, really. I think it's pretty clear that this isn't a song so much about her sexuality, but rather about relationships and how people try to change you rather than just loving you for how you are. A triangle trying to squeeze through a circle. He tried to cut me so I'd fit. Two people who are obviously not compatible, and one trying to change the other person so that they are. Given background information, we already know that Missy Higgins is bi, so this song isn't meant to reveal any sort of secret or anything. |
