| Lamb of God – Hourglass Lyrics | 14 years ago |
|
Privileged, a chosen few Blessed with our time in hell Witness a divine vision, the day we all fell still (talking about people who had to endure a great deal of emotional and spiritual pain) Rapture of the dying age, a shattered hourglass Wrath of the warring gods and soon this too shall pass. (we've spent so much time suffering like this) It's only getting worse, not worth a moment's regret Each dawn another curse, every breath a twisting blade What will be left behind in the ashes of the wake? (what'll happen when we awaken from this nightmare?) An ill wind blows this way, the edge of the envelope burns Forbearance and my vengance, payment for your intent Fear and death in the wings, in thrall of those fallen from grace Petty is as petty does, witness the mass disgrace. (we were left at the mercy of worthless people who made us suffer but now we'll have our vengeance) |

| Lamb of God – Laid to Rest Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| pretty obviously about a person trying to set him/herself free from a relationship or something like that. The murder thing is just metaphorical i think | |

lol, why are you all taking for granted that this song is about war, politics, or religion. Thats so corny. To me it's about mental insanity, pretty clearly the politics interpretation is far fetched |

| Metallica – Damage, Inc. Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| yeah labeti is right, it sucks how most of you guys didnt get the meaning of the song. It should come as super obvious if you actually lived at least ONE day of your life trying to reject the forces of conformity. | |
| Megadeth – Holy Wars... The Punishment Due Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| the song is obviously about the gulf war, but i like to interpret it as people trying to manipulate my mind and fucking around with me. I honestly enjoy that topic more than the iraqi war, about which i must admit i don't really give a shit (thats probably cuz i'm not american, we europeans care about that kinda stuff only so much) | |
| Fear Factory – Self-Bias Resistor Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| quality lyrics and quality music that make this band a really amazing one | |
| Dream Theater – Learning to Live Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| why is everyone striving for complicated interpretations??? this song is very simply about what the title says, it's about learning to live through pain and mistakes... | |
| Avenged Sevenfold – Thick And Thin Lyrics | 15 years ago |

hhaha i can't get the meaning of these lyrics. It's weird though, usually shad is a fantastic lyricist. I don't get what he was up to when he wrote this |

| The Dillinger Escape Plan – Setting Fire To Sleeping Giants Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| yea technically the song is about child rape. But i think it actually metaphorizes that moment in your life, when people take all your innocence away, and they turn you into the not-so-good person you will become as an adult. | |
| Avenged Sevenfold – Desecrate Through Reverance Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| i think its basically about being ignored or talked shit about by a person/group of persons, and thinking: "ok now that i need your help you fuckers are ignoring me, but don't think i will help you when you get back to me, cuz i wont, because you guys turned me into the shitty person i am now" | |
| Avenged Sevenfold – Nightmare Lyrics | 15 years ago |

lol all the comments that i've read up to now are so corny. Its definitely not about drugs or jimmy's death! (unless you guys have a problem with drugs) its just about... whatever makes us feel in pain in our life. To me its about society, tv and stupid magazines stealing our souls and changing our view of the world by telling us a lot of bullshit when we were just too young to understand. Its about the hate you feel towards all the useless people that make up our society, and how you sometimes feel like being alone and without anyone actually understanding you to the fullest. But it could be just about anything you fell bad about. The lyrics are pretty broad in meaning and leave a lot of space to interpretation... |

| Natasha Bedingfield – Unwritten Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| this is, lyirc-wise, one of the most inspiring and uplifting songs i've ever heard | |
| Avenged Sevenfold – Buried Alive Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
to me it's pretty obviously about having some kind of purpose/dream in your life, and like putting into it all of your time and hope, so that you may, occasionally, even have to screw relationships with some people in order to fullfill it("hold on to faith as i dig another grave) @digeratus i think that by "voices" he meant the voices in our head, screaming from the pain that you fell inside |

| Dream Theater – Take the Time Lyrics | 15 years ago |

lol i agree that this is a very uplifting song, both music and lyric-wise. It's obviously about having some sort of problem and gazing inside ourselves for the solution, so that fate will turn our side once again. |
