I Dont think this song is about a serial killer, or a lover. Its about Lucifer, the fallen angel. I think. "Sparkling angel, I believe You were my saviour in my time of need Blinded by faith, I couldn't hear All the whispers, the warnings so clear" Lucifer comes to her, pretending to be good, saving her, But she completely ignored the warning signs of his evilness. "I see the angels I'll lead them to your door There's no escape now No mercy no more No remorse--'cause I still remember The smile when you tore me apart." She sees good angels, and will lead them to Lucifer, And when he tore her apart, he smiled, cause he likes making people sad/tearing them apart. "You took my heart Deceived me right from the start You showed me dreams I wished they would turn into real You broke a promise and made me realize It was all just a lie" He promised her countless things, showed her dreams, and she wishes they turned real, But he was just decieving her, lying. "Sparkling angel, I couldn't see Your dark intentions, your feelings for me Fallen angel, tell me why? What is the reason, the thorn in your eye?" She couldn't see that he was evil, she couldn't see his dark intentions. And she wonders, WHY did he do that? "This world may have failed you It doesn't give you reason why You could have chosen a different path" The world kind of failed Lucifer, But, It was no reason for him to turn evil. |

I think this song is not about someone dying from a sickness, or a dying relationship. I think it is about someone who is SEVERELY depressed, doesnt want to be in this world anymore, and you can tell by the look in their eyes, they do not want to be here. They want to die. "White walls surround us No light will touch your face again Rain taps the window As we sleep among the dead" They depressed person is just basically spending all his/her time in his/her room. And they always have their lights off because the light hurts. And the other person, spends ALL their time with the depressed person. "Days go on forever But i have not left your side We can chase the dark together If you go then so will I" It seems like forever that the depressed person has been just basically laying in their room, wanting to die. And the other person has not left their side. And if the depressed person dies, so will the other person. Maybe not dying physically, but emotionally. Like you lost your best friend, your only friend lets say, you'd be really depressed and emotionally messed up, perhaps. No? "There is nothing left of you I can see it in your eyes Sing the anthem of the angels And say the last goodbye" The person is so severely depressed, you can tell by the look in their eyes that they want to die, and they are kinda fading away... "Cold light above us Hope fills the heart And fades away Skin white as winter As the sky returns to grey" Im not sure about this verse.. MAYBE the person succeeds in cheering up the depressed person, but it doesnt last, the person just gets depressed again "I keep holding onto you But I can't bring you back to life Sing the anthem of the angels Then say the last goodbye" The person keeps trying to cheer the depressed person up, but cannot. And they know that. But they keep trying. "Your're dead alive" Your alive, but so depressed, that its like your dead. Just laying there..Waiting to die...Dead alive. |
