Mookie Singerman said in an interview with Decibel that he got the idea for the song/album from his two biggest fears: Zombie apocalypse, and his Jewish fear of being trapping in a house like Anne Frank. So, the way it reads to me, with that description, is just a massive, terrible event, or apocalypse, that's ravaged a town, and these two people (probably a guy and girl) have boarded themselves into their house to escape the outside threat. Destruction, despair, death, etc. All the makings of a truly classic tune. |
