a few mistakes in the lyrics.. in an interview caleb said the song is called "mary" as in "marry me". it's just spelled like the name.. so the lyrics are mary, if you wannna i'll waive my rights then he goes on to say that the second verse is about a friend of theirs named pablo. the second verse goes: oh, and we'll dance like we're boy friends.. kinda awkward but i imagine he's referring to the "sheer delight" not the actual homosexual thing lol.. the rest of the lyrics seem spot on, bud. spectacular song and great album. what i love about the kings is that every single one of their songs at one point or another has been my favorite song. nuff said |

i think this one's about a guy who used to or still is what we call a " player " but know he's met this girl who has changed his ways, or is close to. either way our player here cares for this lady which is uncommon for him. or he is still a hot shot and she is just another fish in the sea for him. maybe she's a real good booty call lol. could go either way " I don't wanna know you, not like I used to know people. i think the meaning is all in the first verse. " it's coming back to things you've said to me i'm hiding away from reality denying myself for the better parts and you slip back and say "don't take it hard" and then i find it hard to sleep at all wishing i could give someone else a call someone that's closer closer close to me forgetting someone might come over me " this female broke this fellow's heart and now he is in a depressed state. "do you know the way to the bar" -real dope song everybody can relate to at some point or another in their lives. huge pb&j fan :D |
