it's how a man follows his love into heaven when her time has passed, only to realise that everyone has their own time and all he has to accomplish back in his life. It's almost creepy, the comparisons between this song and the rev's death. This is one of a couple of songs he wrote. His backing vocals, in my opinion, are the best part of the song. shadows is lucky the rev wasnt the lead singer! one of my favourite songs ever. cant wait for the new album!. Dr octagon, I sure do. But I find 'a little piece of heaven' more disturbing, especially as he composed it. I think this song is about a guy who goes to visit his lover in the afterlife, but realises that the afterlifes not for him, and pleads for release from the place, as he sees how much more he could have done with his life. |
