i love this song, and the term 'reel around the fountain' does kinda make sense, but i don't understand it when he says at the end:
'meet me at the fountain'
is he talking about an actual fountain, or the other thing?!?!

i do agree with you, but i'v seen loads of people say this, and they seem to forget the fact that he is in his late forties now!! how many men of that age are still stick thin?!?! i personally think he has aged quite gracefully :P |

i love this song, but i always thought that it was about a kid who died or something when morrissey was younger. morrissey probably didn't know the kid that well, but it obviously affected him in a big way. but thats just me :/ |

this is such a beautiful song, everytime i hear it, i get shivers down my spine. i personally think it is about moz 'finding himslf' with a guy in rome, and i think its really brave of him to sing about something like that. XD <3 |
