Amazing song, one of my favourites. Such a beautiful tune. A great reflection on the attention that is craved by individuals, particularly in this age of social media and a vapid online internet presence that seems to fuel so much of how we interact with each other.
Look forward to more brilliant stuff from Brett Winterford through his band, Peregrine |

Did anyone else immediately think of 'I Find That I'm Not Here' by PT? It was a section out of Sky Moves Sideways, but SW also performed it with John Wesley on the live album 'We Lost The Skyline'
The introduction to this song with that, how to say...airy, kindof dreamscape, psychadelic, twisted guitar sound, the very first section immediately put me in mind of 'I Find...'. Amazing album though, as always. SW/PT is/are definitely God |

pity the Vines' cover doesnt even have a rock feel. Acoustic and mellow. Why does that make it shit? I would suggest it's because you have no musical talent or appreciation. Taking a song and making a cover that is vastly different, unique, and your own interpretation doesnt make something shit. The Vines' cover has a completely different purpose and is obviously aimed at a different audience.
was the over-aggressiveness necessary either? it just provides an image of you being an idiotic halfwit that cannot hold a decent or structured argument with logical and intelligent reasoning, but must resort to being aggresive. Douche bag. |

oh, and well done you dismiss a perfectly good cover that is an artists own interpretation which adds a completely different sound to it, different feel, uniqueness. experimentation. isnt that what music is about? since when did any song 'have' to belong to a particular genre?

i had a thought the other day in regards to the line 'chemical harvest was sown' (which appears to have some abiguity amongst interpretations), if this song is about some persona suffering depression and feeling isolated etc, this line could potentially be a reference to medications, drugs etc and the resultant chemicals he has taken? just a thought.
btw @crazybunny, nice picture. |
