I can not believe how many lyrics I got wrong when I first listened to this song. xD Like "fucking with s-dot" translated to "fucking with death star". |

I always think about my dad when I hear this song. He gave it to me on a mix CD awhile ago, and I don't get to see him very often because my parents broke up when I was 3. |

I think this song is just about someone questioning God, and realizing that maybe God isn't all that they're cut out to be. At least this is what the song means to me. |

Gwen Stefani was really cool back when she was in No Doubt, but she has seriously degraded. I don't even think "hollaback girl" means anything. It's not even a word. |

While it has crossed my mind, I never thought this song was about a prostitute. Oddly enough, it reminds me of Irene Adler from the Sherlock Holmes books. |

I think it's more about Hollywood, and the movie making industry, how fake it all is. "Space may be the final frontier but it's made in a Hollywood basement." |

This song is probably about drugs, since I have also noticed the references, but I still like to think of Light Yagami from Death Note since besides having my dad listen to them all the time when I was little, I actually fell in love the Red Hot Chili Peppers when I found they did the soundtrack for Death Note:The Last Name. |

I have no idea what this song means, but I'm gonna think of it as an ode to all the Sherlock Holmes fangirls out there. ;) |

I always thought that this song was about the fear of the world ending, and trying to enjoy yourself as much as possible before it does.
"Well sure as planets come I know that they end..." The end of the word.
"We were aiming for the moon, we were shooting for the stars, but the kids were just shooting at the buses and the cars..." How todays generation doesn't care about Global Warming. |

Has anyone noticed towards the end of the song, you hear "Help, somebody, help, somebody, help..." in the background? I think it may be one of those Paul Is Dead Conspiracy things, but it's still REALLY creepy. |

I'm surprised at all the negative comments this got. I admit, Ringo is not the BEST singer, but I still think this song is one of their best (thus my username). This was also the very first Beatle song I ever heard, when I was 9 and saw the movie for the first time. I like the fact that it's childish-It always cheers me up no matter what. =) |
