Oh shoot, I posted the wrong song! That's what happens when you have "Swept Away" up on your laptop while LISTENING to "Circle". I can be stupid sometimes. :) I do agree on the chorus for "Swept Away" that it isn't exactly the best. It doesn't change my opinion on the song, though. I LOVE this song, best on the album, hands down. |

I cried too! I realized what it was immediately since I always have this Christian view of things whenever I listen to Flyleaf. It was said in such a way that it literally made me sad for some time. I do have to say, however, that the chorus isn't my favorite part. My favorite part is "I believe, what if I believe you now?" part. If they hadn't said the chorus the way that it is, I wouldn't like it as much (I'm all for connections, and connections of Jesus's outstretched arms to welcome someone and Jesus's outstretched arms on the crucifix just makes me emotional again). |

Wow, no comments yet? Awesome. For some reason, I thought of Pentecost. You know, the apostles were given courage from the Holy Spirit in the form of a flame. Then they weren't scared anymore and spoke the truth about God. This song is like someone talking to God about a situation like that. He made them free and scared their fears, so now they feel like they're free to do whatever they please. |

I don't know if this is on your version, too, but I'm hearing kind of eerie music box music after the singing and guitar at the very end. Though I have to say, after hearing this song, the music box freaked me out. I won't be able to listen to this at night. :) But does anyone have any ideas why this is there? |

I agree, I think it's about all the people in general who chose not to believe that Jesus was God. After his Crucifixion, someone even said, "Forgive us, for this man is truly the Son of God." This song is basically from someone's point of view that realized they were wrong too late, after Jesus died, and they don't think they deserve their life because of what they did. They're begging for forgiveness and for Jesus to come back again. |

i agree with all of your interpretations. this is probably one of my favorite songs on this album. it's so beautifully written and sung. but i'm still a bit confused with the meaning of the lines "i cannot stop my rebel hands from pulling out the pots and pans". it seems like a symbol of something, but i can't grasp it. sorry if it's obvious haha. :) any ideas? |

| I agree with a lot of these interpretations, but the name of the song, the phrase "swan song", is still confusing me. Idk if it's just me or not. I looked it up, and the phrase "swan song" can sometimes mean a final performance. Any ideas? | |

Love this song, probably one of my favorites of all of theirs. To the meaning... Actually, yes, it is pretty self-explanatory. The way I see it is that she doesn't want to live in reality and just needs a refuge, whether she has to make it up or not. And for the first time (out of all of their songs) I can actually really relate to this song. It's so amazing... <3 |

| Hey anyone know about the "you cut the cord today" part of the song? Sorry if it's rlly obvious, I'm kinda slow sometimes. :) | |

| Well when I first heard the hammers and needles part of the song I thought of the crucifixion since he was nailed to the cross, but that might just be me. | |
