| Rogue Wave – Lake Michigan Lyrics | 11 years ago |

Entirely anti war. You want to put us in more debt, kill people, and start a global nuclear war? Not on my dollar. |

Anyone hear the gibberish in the background after "I Saw"? I love that part. That's old school mouse, and it's really trippy. This song is meant to be played on a loop. |

| I'd also like to point out that the whole "going somewhere to pick something out but wandering around and not finding anything" is on-point with benzo's. Going to the library just to roam around.... classic line. | |

You had to take meth and then write a wall of ramblin'? Did you really? ;-) |

| Modest Mouse – Medication Lyrics | 11 years ago |

Anyone who has struggled with Benzo or amphetamine addiction will understand this song in an instant. The song itself plays out exactly as medication does, at first you feel like shit before it kicks, and then there's dazed bliss for a too-short period of time, and then the crash. Sadness for numbness, these drugs will numb your real emotions, but at least you'll no longer be sad. |

| Modest Mouse – Styrofoam Boots/It's All Nice on Ice, Alright Lyrics | 11 years ago |
| One of my favorite MM verses. It flows so well and really adds to the meth/speed vibe of the song. This song is ridiculous on speed. | |
| Modest Mouse – Styrofoam Boots/It's All Nice on Ice, Alright Lyrics | 11 years ago |

This is one of MM's more easily understood songs in my opinion. The protagonist has hit a low point in his life and wants to kill himself. His friends tell him that jumping into the water with styrofoam boots will do the trick, essentially causing him to drown upside down. It works and he finds himself in heaven, where he realizes that it's not all that different than Earth. Everyone looks out for themselves and there's work that needs to be done by the people living there. Simple, catchy, clever tune. |

| Cake – Cool Blue Reason Lyrics | 11 years ago |
|
It's a song about negative thought patterns. Not just negative, but cold, distant, emotionless thought. It's easy to fall into Cool Blue Reason in these fast times, but it's important not to. |

| The Flaming Lips – The Wizard Turns On... the Giant Silver Flashlight and Puts On His Werewolf Moccasins Lyrics | 11 years ago |
|
I've seen this song in one of two way's depending on how zonked I am when I listen to it. Sometimes it sounds exactly like RealityRipple painted it as. A wizard waking up for a stroll. O Other times, I view "The Wizard" as being woken up at the END of the song, as if from a bad dream, and that's why he shouts into alertness. Prior to that I think the instrumentals point towards a dreamscape. |

| I got the same vibe. Astute observation | |
| Neutral Milk Hotel – Oh Comely Lyrics | 15 years ago |
| Its supposed to be "Drunk on your autonomy" As in hes pretty much become emotionless. | |

Am i the only person who thinks that the part with the low beats hints at something dark(as in evil) happening? I believe this song has to do with bacteria multiplying to form life, at least in the beginning of the song... "The process had begun" = the process of life. "A million came from one" = bacteria reproducing by binary fission. I have an idea that the dark part of the song is humanity being stuck down by a massive event, possibly the plague on the first time. As for the second, though i'm not religious, i think it has to do with the apocalypse and salvation. "Yelling as hard as they can The doubters all were stunned Heard louder than a gun The sound they made was love" Doubters being people who don't believe in Christianity They loved god for saving them. There are many flaws in my theory but its just an idea =) |

| Butthole Surfers – Pepper Lyrics | 15 years ago |
|
I think this song has a few meaningful points: many people are living for death... and many people are living for life. You cant judge either way though because you arent that individual person. Life and death are both unstoppable, people are going to live and people are going to die... although will try look towards one more than the other. He likes to use drugs to get by, but he doesnt mind stepping away from them every now and then, although he always finds himself going back. I guess the whole song can be summarized as: Its your choice on how you look at life, but you're going to live and then you're going to die and thats a gauruntee. You never truly know what people think about you. |
