When I first heard this song I thought it was about a guy who had a past relationship that didn't go very well and now he met someone new and all of insecurities in his past relationship are sure with this girl. But now that I think about it, it might be about the creative spark. Especially with the lines "How the feeling comes and why it goes" "When you listen there's a hope and I know I'm being HEARD (BTW)",and "When you're with me there's a light and I can see my way. When you speak to me it's a song and I know what to say". It's like this guy is trying to create a song but he can't and then his creative spark comes along (her, I guess. Not meaning that his creative spark is an actual person.) and he knows what to say. It's just a guess. I'm still leaning toward it being a post-break up/new love song. |
