This is going to be a bit abstract, but maybe my interpretation says more about me than the song itself.
I think this song is about a discussion going on within one's psyche.
So it starts with a girl (it only matters that the individual is young) saying "can't you see? I want to be famous!" And the rational part of the brain chimes in saying "that's great, but for now, maybe you should just worry about driving this friggin car rather than thinking about our destination" |
