Its a song about love compromise and feeling vulnerable, and yes fellatio is the backdrop to this very complicated subject matter. Sex has been bastardized into the “cum shots” double D world this songwriter lives in and is unclear to what it all means. When some of these same acts happened to people we truly love - what does it mean after? Like anything that truly lives, it has good and bad in it. I think the songwriter is okay with that, and appreciates both sides equally. The songwriter understands love and compromise is not an easy thing to acquire. The songwriter understands you need to be completely open and vulnerable so you can have a genuine experience, and then maybe love. |
