| In Fear and Faith – The End Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
Hold strong, come from behind, Take them down! Replace fear with pride, Hold your ground! As I run from all that's left, I can feel I've reached the end, As my feet sink into the floor, My arms won't fail me now, And my tongue won't taste the sand, The winds won't hold me down, I will stay alive, Now we are reaching the end! Don't look back there is nothing left, But this is why we run, From the flood behind the walls, I won't drown! This is not my fault, But this is why we run, From the lives we left behind I'm tired of running away, Let's show them what we're made of! We are the fallen, led astray. Born into this life to run away, We've had enough! This is our day, To be the ones who stayed Let me go, as I am, I will never sell my soul, We chose the hard road, We fight alone to save our name, Just remember you are the ones to blame |

| A Day to Remember – Westfall Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| Hey mav21, this song is definitely by them. It's one of their demo songs from when the band just started. They're demo songs are really hard to find, so if you want me to send them to you PM me. All five of their demos are awesome. | |
| A Day to Remember – Last Request Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| This is an AMAZING song. To be honest, I think it's probably one of their best and they should remake it in their next album. If you don't have the song and you can't find it using Google PM me, I can probably send you all five of their demos. | |
| As I Lay Dying – Empty Hearts Lyrics | 16 years ago |

Another amazing, thought-provoking song by As I Lay Dying. In my opinion, this song really expands on false hope and how it will lead you only to forsaking God. "I've watched them build upon these empty hearts, False hopes of lossless paradise, Gathering together the dead hearts beat as one, Stillborn comfort feeding lies through answers of self denial, Divided between a dissolute self and the sorrow of sincere devotion" This entire part of the song is elaborating on the idea of false hope. It's explained that the heaven on Earth that is being so desperately sought after is unreachable. It then continues on to describe the large number of people that are trapped in this sense of false hope that will only lead them to depression and insanity. "What is it that you find peace in now? Where is your hope in this dark night?" After you have spent your life trying to achieve the unachievable you will be left with nothing. By devoting your life to something other then God, you have forsaken Him. By forsaking God, you will have nowhere left to go. |

| As I Lay Dying – A Thousand Steps Lyrics | 16 years ago |
|
This is an amazing song. Short, sweet, and it really gives you something to think about. In my opinion this song does not involve religion, but instead elaborates on difficulties we all go through in life. "We climbed a thousand steps without a single imprint" I believe that this part of the song symbolizes how much effort someone exalted and how it went unnoticed. This happens in almost all aspects of life, especially in careers and relationships. "This drowning regret will die, Forgotten like my past" This part of the song explains how the person does not regret his attempt at making a good impression. Instead of allowing his failed attempt drag him down, he is forgetting. "Moving bodies lie in rest, Carried by each other" The people who reject you are the ones who have lost. Instead of being embraced by someone who would do anything for them, they choose to be with those unloyal to them for the benefit of their status. My first interpretation. Tell me what you think. |
