im so glad i got into eminem. I used to hate him i used to think he was some bling bling twat all about killing people and raping girls. i was wrong. im so glad a advert popped up on tv with lose yourself as the track since then i realised i recognised it as a kid from some distant party. i found it on spotify loved it. then i discovered his greats. id say his greats are mockingbird, when im gone, stan, hailes song and now not afraid. i love when im gone inparticualr. not only amazing rhyming like on all his songs but it had meaning and heart and emotion. something that turns any talent into something actually good. something that people even against him have to admit they like...well maybe they dont admit. he has talent a great voice, meaning emotion and cleverness in his songs no other rapper has. Thats what made him the best. i was dissapointed with relapse because it lacked any emotion. nothing like cleaning oit the closet or mocking bird and ofcourse when im gone. its songs like them that give him the impression of bling bling twat all about killing people and raping girls. i know now hes not but songs like the ones on relapse to put people off him..alot of people. not afraid is a saviour. without it id be thinking hes gone backwards in his songs, got worse less talented. but not afraid is great hes made a moving song that dosent make you sad. that a hard thing and hes done it. the feel of it is great you can picture that so fitting on some sorta film. i love it |

where are all the posts? that song was great at first i didnt like the guituar much but after hearing it a couple of times its great quite powerful aswell you can clearly picture things from it i loved that first part right at the start before the guituar aswell a great build up after 59 sound i thought it nearly impossible to make a better album but now im wondering |

i havent found asnythig out but im just gona look at the lyrics one line at a time and see if i can figure anything out why are you elvis? perhaps hes jealous we can tell from this hes saying his life has many problems ad in high lonesome he mentions he wishes he was elvis maybe hes sayig why are you elvis as in why you? why not me? i wish i was elvis he says in the chorus "never felt right never fit in walking i my own skin" also at a guess hes never thought he was well fitting in and was irght like everyone else and he hates himself ad wishes he was elvis " cut my teeth on the stone of a teenage romance" meaning thers some sort of relationship problem thats happened i guess this is why he feels he dont fit in but if he got upset about a relationship why does he say " id watch this whole night come down and never miss her again? im confused |

yeah id agree with it being a metapho you know my music is varied but amongst it all this song is the mst powerful song i know i love it the lyrics that newish sorta sound everything makes it so so powerful and emotional although this song makes me sad at times it also makes me happy for some reason and i can never understand why oh does anyone know the meaning of wherefore art thou elvis? im clueless |
