It sounds like a coming of age song - a struggle with the tension of youthful idealism vs. the reality of getting older and realizing that one day you're just not the person you thought you'd be. It's a personal wake-up call to re-evaluate one's purpose and (re)start living with some intentionality. Awake my soul! Rise from your apathy! |

Timshel - what a beautiful idea...to choose. Without anything to back it up, I think this is about one of the band member's sister going through an experience of losing a child...and his attempt to reconcile what he has observed his sister experiencing (hence the talk about "death" and "you are the mother of your baby child" and "you are not alone in this...as brothers we'll hold your hand"). It is a beautifully inspiring, dark song of profound emotion.
