Kid C 11-07-2005 Rated 0 rate down rate up Who's the moron who thought that cello was a violin? most unneeded comment i have ever read. not that whoeverthehellkidc-is doesnt know music or what he talking about because yea, cello is not a violin. but FUCK THAT because it doesnt matter what it is or how it is being illustrated musically....the fact of the matter is that this song takes you out of your life. out of all the bullshit. strangely, i am lyrically affected by alice in chains, and i also am one of the idiots who talks to layne as if i would talk to God...out loud, in my car....in a prayer-like fashion. obviously, even the confused cello-violinist knows, this song has no lyrics.... i sat on the beach drawing one day listening to jar of flies and, when this song (though i had listened and loved before) began, i couldnt create anymore. i coulnt create because art, to me i suppose, is a perfect illustration of the mind. i could no longer compete with whale and whasp. i threw my brushes down and let the world happen. that is this band(yes, it is only my opinion i realize) alice in chains lives in a world of reality, of sadness, of love, of hate, of something real. of something that exists (at one point) as REAL emotion in life. i dont know anything. i dont know anything,. i dont know anything. i dont know who i am. and i dont know jerry...and seeing him play, though life-changing, makes me only a fan. however, i do know that this song is no different from every other song they have made available to our ears...lyrics are there, but you just can't hear them. shit. this band. i am humbled by this band. in 1992 and in 2010 |

look at rotten apple. its recreated and its a rebirth of the band as a whole. of course, though the new album is insanely wonderful, layne is a great part of alice in chains. they wish to preserve his inspirations, still, fuck those who arent able to understand the band without layne, he has passed, remembered, loved, and recreated |
