I think he left the girl he (found out later) he loved alot, and regrets it. Or maybe he left out of anger or because he didnt feel he was good enough or along those lines. Either way, he still loves her, and hes asking her not to tell anyone the real reason why he left, and to continue to make up excuses for his absence. Or it could be that he left a girl, or she left him, but he still loves her, but he think its better if he stays away. |

| i think its about a relationship. both people screwed up, but the guy was way worse, but he wants it to work more than she does ("ive treated you badly, but i am still here") and he wants here to forgive him, but she keeps screwing with his head and its making him crazy ("sometimes i wonder why I'm still waiting, sometimes I'm shaking, but thats how you make me, sometimes i question why I'm still here, sometimes i think I'm going crazy, can you help me understand?"). Maybe she keeps going to other ppl but she doesnt mean as much to them as she did to him. he wants to get back what they had, but he doesnt know how much more he can take. | |

I think he's talking about how she left him (maybe for another guy?) and he's really upset over it but she's already moved on. "I'm still alive but i'm barely breathing, just praying to a god that i dont believe in" He feels desperate. "I've got time while shes got freedom" He's not over it, she is and thats giving her more freedom to date. "Her best days will be some of my worst" She's happy; he isnt. "She finally found a man thats gonna put her first" She's moved on to a 'better' guy. "While i'm wide awake she's no trouble sleepin" She's fine; but hes losing sleep over it. "When a heart breaks no it dont break even' Heartbreak hurts. "What am i supposed to do when the best part of me was always you. WHat am i supposed to say when i'm all choked up and youre okay. Im falling to pieces. I'm falling to pieces." He doesnt know what hes supposed to do, or how to go on without her. "They say bad things happen for a reason, but no wise words are gonna stop the bleedin" Theres nothing anyone can say thats going to make him feel better. "You got his heart and my heart and none of the pain" She gets both of them to love her, but she doesnt have to feel the pain he does "You took your suitcase, i took the blame.' okay, first. i just want to throw out there. WHO CARES IF HES GAY? All my friends think its a bad song cause hes gay. You wouldnt say "i hate their music cause their straight", would you? No. Anyways. "There might have been a time where i would give myself away. Oh once upon a time, i didnt give a damn. But now, here we are, so whataya want from me?" I think he's saying he didnt care, and would do whatever with his life. But someone cared and made him realize. and so now he's asking them what they want from him, or why they did what they did. "Just don't give up, im working it out. Please don't give in, i wont let you down. It messed me up, need a second to breathe. Just keep coming around." I think their about to walk out on him, because he's got alot of problems he needs help with but he wont accept help. But he's asking them to stay a little longer and says he'll come through, but he needs to get used to the idea. "Yeahh, it's plain to see, baby you're beautiful, and theres nothing wrong with you. Its me. Im a freak. Thanks for loving me, you're doing it perfectly" He saying he knows he's got issues, and he's thanking them for being there. "There might have been a time where i would let you slip away, but i wouldnt even try because you might save my life" This is my favorite part, the line i would probably relate to my life. He's saying that he would have probably let them leave before, ad now he realizes now that he needs them and they might be able to save him. This is my new favorite song. Describes my life alot. I hope i got the meaning right haha. |

| okay. "you know that it doesnt hurt me, do you wanna feel how it feels?' 'if i only could make a deal with god, and get him to swap our places' i think this song means that someone isnt intentionally hurting him, but they know they are and won't stop hurting him even though they could if they wanted to. And so he wants to switch places with them so they can see just how bad they are hurting him. And maybe once they understand each other, they could get along. Idk if thts right but thts how ive been seeing the song. | |
