I agree. Although I've known this song for more years than i care to remember, it's always given me this melancholic state. Like the one you have when you're badly hoping for something to change, to improve but that you know deep down will never be better than it already is. Like you're stuck in a situation that gives you both joy and sorrow. Like when it itches and when you scratch you're both relieved and irritated. Like you'd settle for anything as opposed to nothing at all. |
