Still love that song. :) Especially the line "Someone like you / And all you know / And how you speak". I think the lyrics (and the atmosphere of the song as a whole) are very longing but also full of hope. Great song! |

This was what I was wondering about, too. "...'everyone leaves, so why didn't you leave, too?', as to imply that person stayed with him after previous people have left." I think it is meant this way. To my mind, on the one hand he is very happy that she stayed with him after many people have left and he is full of hope etc. On the other hand he thinks it's just too good to be true (having in the back of his mind all the previous disappointments), that's why he says "Everybody leaves, so why, why wouldn't you?" |
