This song is so reflective of a dear friend of mine who spent 8 years as a junkie. At one time he used toilet water to fill his spoon to cook the drug. Fever and the scum brown bowl. This is one of the most powerful songs I've ever heard... especially the Miles of Aisles version. |

I was at the Miles of Aisles concert (Universal Amphitheater)... My god! Joni was lovely.
The rhythm of the poetry here is so universal that I find myself using these lyrics in many different tunes... it's amazing. |
