To me this is about humanity's addiction to violence, pain, and obscenities. It seems that these things evoke strong emotional and mental reactions in people, and there is a high associated with viewing it, almost like curing a feeling of persistent boredom. |

Stupify is about the the prime motivator in our lives: sex. In the beginning of the song, the narrator describes his anticipation of first having sex, and how after just one time, he was addicted, like most men are. This condition is described by the narrator as being "stupified", that is under the control of the addictive powers of sex, driving him to do things he knows are not rational. In the middle of the song, the narrator tells that all people, no matter left or right wing, living a rich life in a high rise, or a poor life in the projects, are "stupified", and often do things they regret or would not do if it were not for the feelings that sex offers. |

Its about being cheated on, most likely the first time you figure it out. A lot of men get emotional and pissed off like the narrator. In my opinion the music and lyrics are so over the top that it conveys a sense that getting too pissed off about it is ridiculous. By the end of the song, I would think the narrator grows up and accepts it instead, and realizes its a part of "the game". The next song on the album "Stupify", is much more laid back and seems to be about the narrator accepting he was just addicted to the sex during the relationship. |
