This song is amazing and VERY relatable. The conflict of emotions is something that anyone can relate to. I'm surprised more people haven't commented on this song. It's one of the best JJ songs ever (in my opinion). This is up there with Mariah Carey's, "Without You". No better voice to sing this song. |

I loved this song back in the day. When I listened to it then, I thought this was strictly about missing someone who is already dead. But as I am older listening to it, I think the second verse is a reminiscent verse of when her loved one was sick. It seems that they were in a coma or some other debilitating state. She was probably at his/her side until the very end. Hoping, praying and remaining strong for a recovery. The first and third verses seem like the feelings she had when they finally passed on. |
