ps: "and i deserve it, i know i deserve it" -- maybe her relationship isnt so great and she thinks she deserves someone better.. trying to justify the "unthinkable" |

i definately think it sounds like a love song about taking a relationship to a new level or making it more serious... but i think theres a little more to it that isnt so obvious. i think its about an affair, or two people who are in relationships and are about to "do the unthinkable". Who's gunna make the first move? Shes ready to take that leap. The temptation is there, "its impossible to ignore, and i cant take it". It sounds like there is some serious sexual tension between two people who want to be together but shouldnt. |

Then again, i could completely be reading into it way too much. I probably wouldnt have ever thought of that if someone hadnt sparked the idea of a difference of ethnicity. |

If the song really is about a white man falling for a African woman there is one other thing i noticed to support this (other than lyrics) when watching the video. The video does show two white people who are drawn to each other. However, if you pay attention everything in the video is black and white. And in many cases, its black and white paired together, sometimes in a persons outfit or a pattern on the building. Also, the man is dressed in black, while the woman is dressed in white. As the song progresses the room of the man is taken over by splashes of white. At the same time the womans room is taken over by black lines. If the song really is about the love connection between a white male and a black woman, the video support the idea of the "harmony" and integration between the two colors.
