"You're red, soaking wet" sounds like someone is drenched in blood. I think this song is all about violence, maybe even gang violence. "Sail in this sea of charms" could mean gang signs. "Drown underneath the stars" because they are all dying outside in the world and "Guns, razors, knives" cause they'll kill with anything. I think that "I'm right next to you" means that this is either from the point of view that of someone that is dead as well or someone that just saw their friend get killed and now they're kneeling beside them. I have no idea what that would have to do with the title. Maybe the album will put the song into a context. Looking forward to it, great song. Get better Chi!!! |
