| This song was good, and I was taking it seriously until "Let's legalize weed!" popped in on the song, and that just ruined it. Everything before and afterhand sounded intelligent, but now I can't respect these guys because of that idiot line. | |

Alright, just tossing out some clarification. transylvanian had some good points, and I agree with some things he said, but I do need to dispute two things he mentioned. 1) The Catholic church only has 1 Deity. Whether he was talking about the father, son, and holy spirit as three seperate deities, or considering the Virgin Mary her own deity, it was a misconception. Catholics only have one deity. 2) In one of his later paragraphs he said christains believe " that to believe in Jesus is the path to Heaven." While this may be the case for some branches of christianity, it is not the case for all. Catholicism believes that one must acknowledge their sins and ask for forgiveness, and that there is no real guarantee. Sorry if I'm being annoying, just defending my religion. Regarding the song: I do agree with Max on the current overuse of Jesus as nothing more than an icon to some. It's interesting to hear it publicly noted. That guy is not afraid to speak his mind, and I respect that. If that first story is about obesity, then I am totally in agreement with transylvanian's interpretation. |
