Okay that is a ridiculous comment. Have you listened to Lullabies? That song is about Alex brother that committed suicide, forgive me if i thought that counted as a song with meaning. We All Fall Down also has a reference to his brother, amongst plenty of other songs. Jasey Rae he wrote for a girl because he felt bad about there break up. Therapy, Remembering Sunday, Sick Little Games and Running From Lions are just a few off the top of my head that are songs of theirs with meaning. And the other songs even if they have reference to sex and drinking they have a meaning behind them almost always. But sometimes a bands gotta write a lighter song that they can just sing. So fucking grow up and don't judge a band when you've probably only heard a couple of songs by them, listen to songs, watch the band perform them and then you'll relise how much meaning they have in their music. By the way, sorry for swearing its just that this really pisses me off because i've seen them perform live and i have seen the emotion they put into their songs just as i'm sure most of you guys have. I watched a video on youtube where Alex talks about this song, and i think its Vinny in the background goes, "Isn't she dead?" And Alex is like... "What?! No!!" Thats my favourite part. Literally i will listen to this song and just wait for that part. It makes me smile. Wow, i never knew it was about Alex being a cheat, not that i could ever think bad about him. But i always just thought it was about a girl he was with and it was sort of a quick, steamy relationship that no one was suppose to know about. Kinda like fuck buddies. Aha. |
