| Sounds like someone really wants to do something but is scared to because they had a bad experience with it before "salt enters wound... Waiting offshore" and he's saying you can't just wait until your fear fades, you need to face it yourself "heal your fears to heal your fears" then maybe the person is saying there's about to be a storm or something bad so I'll wait "time spent waiting offshore the calm before the storm" but the person is just using that as an excuse to stay away from what he fears, staying in his comfort zone, making him a comfortable liar. | |

Again assuming that this is aconcept album, Hollywood theme, then he is talking about the lack of good music. First verse= the room is his mind. Outside is the gay music that's being put out these days. He doesn't miss it but may forget what good music looks like. Chorus: sad that this is what's left for the music industry but can now see what went wrong with the industry. Verse 2: only in his mind( magic residence) he can go back fix the industry. Never told me... Put me away: I didn't Think I would be One of the odd ones. Thinks those who make good music should be more popular but bad music seems to be more "normal" . Staying with the Hollywood theme: water= the fame and glory. Old man and son= other bands/ Hollywood. Garden and flowers= their success. Its getting late I'm coming home I picked this rose for you I've been away searching for oceans with time to kill.= I've been chasing the glory, I found it easily, I brought you a piece of my success. You better get your gun I've seen them watching you the old man and his son they've been studying your moves.= they want a piece of your success, you need to protect it. Why won't it rain they need the water they die faster than you= your not getting more famous your success will pass quickly. I'm not in pain I've got my flowers= it won't affect me I have enough. It's happening this pain has just begun you will see me in the news= giving in to Hollywood for more fame I don't understand why I sleep all day and I start to complain when there is no rain.= I don't search "oceans" anymore but I'm upset when running low on glory.
