Aww, come on, man. Yeah, it might seem like it's about drug abuse, but it's just a freaking metaphor. He's not addicted to something, he's addicted to someone. "It's about time that you got sick of me No longer fun and so far from interesting" It's not the drug that got "far from interesting", it's Matt, for that girl. Drugs usually don't get sick of you. Besides, both verses end with talking to someone, who left. Do drugs leave? No. "And you can't breathe without coughing at daytime, and neither can I" This is the only line that I can't explain, how it fits into my theory. But I can totally relate to this, cause I'm in a really similar situation, like severing a wicked hand. And i cantotally relate to these lyrics. It's brilliant. |
