Wow. These lyrics are way off. "Black magic painted traits" should be "Black magic viente y tres", '23' in Spanish - as in Michael Jordan's jersey number. Jordan was the yin to Rodman's flamboyant yang.
"Makes me sain" should be "makes me sane".
"Phontom pain" should be "Phantom pain".
"I can not concure" should be "concur".
Ever heard of spell-check? Geez Louise.

The lyric "The first decline/another state of mind" is quite possibly a reference to the legendary 1980 LA Punk rock documentary, "The Decline of Western Civilization, Part 1 (the first Decline); as well as the 1984 punk documentary "Another State of Mind", which features the bands Social Distortion and Youth Brigade, as they embark on their first US tour. Both movies were heavily influential on shaping the ethos of many punk bands at the time, such as Dave Grohl's first band, Dain Bramage. |

Sure, this is a Queens of the Stone Age song, but guess what, geniuses? This song is neither written nor sung by Josh Homme! All writing credit is overdue to [former] bass player Nick Oliveri. He wrote this song about a friend who died from a drug overdose. Where do I get my information? Well, I saw Nick Oliveri play live last night, and that's what he said - before he played a solo acoustic version.
