zero's right. UNCLEAR does make more sense. Tom sure doesn't make it easy on us sometimes...

I was hoping this song would be great when they showed the track list.. It is.
I think the meaning is up for interpretation, obviously it's about communicating or understanding god's plan for us. This could be questioning god's existence because you aren't getting an answer or believing and hoping for answers.

I like the line "And like one would like a child, I am asking" which means he's asking a question like Why is the sky blue? like children often do.

Great instrumental intro, guitar sounds similar to other AVA songs but to me it's "their sound" which I like.

Corrections:
"And like one word, like a child, I'm asking" should be:
"And like one WOULD, like a child, I'm asking"

agreed with mkc "awaiting reply"

"Or anyone else that you chose (tonight?)" could be:
"Or anyone else that you chose TO DENY" (not sure)

"It seems like the madness of choice and the lie
Has made it our prayer if we run and we hide" should be:
"It seems like the madness of choice in the LIFE
Has made it ALL CLEAR if we run or we hide" (makes more sense)

Angels and Airwaves – Some Origins of Fire Lyrics 16 years ago
Some reviews online are knocking this song for "We are are love / love is hard" line. They obviously aren't listening to the other lyrics. This song is amazing. It's about how so many people are down on themselves and are stuck in their "cycle", not living life, which is indeed a miracle.

I think the last line is "A slow rolling wave with a wake that's yet to come" which makes more sense than "A sole, lonely wave with the weight that's yet to come" but its so close to both of them that I'm not sure.

One of the best songs on the new album.
