In the first chorus, i really think that he's talking about a persona experience. Which makes the meaning of the song even better.In the line "I kept kickin' cuz a person only floats when he's dead," it explains the he wont give up, that ever since he was small he started fighting for his life. In the first chorus it also explains how he probably won't have a father figure. In the first verse he explains all that he suffered while growing up. He has explained he doesn't have much of anything. Like in the line "I ate potatoes everyway you could ever make them, When your hungry you got to use your imagination" it is explaining that food was short and at times you would have to eat the same thing in different ways. I think these line describes a lot. "I remeber we was at the bus stop in pajamas, Tryin' to run from a home that brought so many tears, Bad Luck like we must have broke a thousand mirrors". He describes a time they tried to run away,and he thinks his whole life has been bad luckI really enjoy the lyrics of this song. |
