Wait, Dimebag Darrrell is dead??? This is news to me. Why is everybody trash talking him when he's dead? Like, at least give the guy some peace. That's like the people that stole from Paul Grey's grave...messed up. |

I think this is about a retarded kid that doesn't care about anything beyond his own life and that he likes to listen to "pretty songs" and shoot his gun...
One problem in that theory is that no one lets a retarded kid own a gun. |

I can see what he's saying about drugs
"it always cures the pain"
and then
"causes even more"
like it gets you high in the moment, but fucks your life up beyond belief. Except weed. Weed is good :) |

My favorite Dethklok song is a tie between Murmaider, Murmaider II the Water God, Laser Cannon Deth Sentence, and The Gears. |

Read the book and can't wait to see the movie of "Johnny Got His Gun", the book this song was made after. Metallica does a good job capturing the escence and creepiness of the novel. Just wish Joey Jordison could've done the double-bass instead of Lars, cause he woulda made it frikkin terrifying. |

It's about Dave Mustaine's life when he was younger, and how he did drugs and they wouldn't let him sleep so he went out and partied. All of you guys are saying its about ACTUAL insomnia. That's stupid and ignorant. |

| Slipknot – Wait And Bleed Lyrics

A lot of different people commented, and I've gathered all of their ideas into one: It's about a guy who was a Manchurian Candidate. He then dozes off while taking a bath. He dreams that he's in a bathtub with his wrists slit. He proceeds to open his eyes and find that it is true. He realizes he's missed most of his life and he wants to start over, so he "Waits and Bleeds". |

I'm an atheist too. I can't see how people can look at the earth, with all its war, plagues, poverty, and starvation, and still say "Oh, the good lord will save us."
Anyone who looks to god for saving is wasting their time. |

They sound a bit heavier than Deep Purple, but not quite as heavy as Black Sabbath. Anyway, this was the first song by Wolfmother I ever listened to, and it's still the greatest. |

Uh, really? Megadeth created Metal and Slayer helped twice? Nah dude, it goes like this: Slayer created Metal in 1981, Megadeth formed it a little later, and Metallica brought it to the Mainstream. |

| Metallica – Enter Sandman Lyrics

I've listened to this song many times, and after much mental disagreement, I have to say I'm a little disappointed. I mean, listen to Kill 'Em All, and you're all pumped up with those rad guitar solos, and Ride the Lightning it just got better. Master of Puppets is my favorite Metallica album and it rocked my world the first time I heard it. ...And Justice for All is the same thing, it was great and it has some of Metallica's best songs on it. And then you're thinking, "How could it get any better than this?" And you listen to The Black Album, and you're all, "This doesn't even sound like Metallica." Think about it. "The Sandman is a mythical character in Western folklore who brings good dreams by sprinkling magical sand onto the eyes of children while they sleep at night."-Wikipedia. Good, Dreams, Children, and Magical are not songs that should be heard in a metal song of any kind. Having said that, this song has some pretty heavy guitar riffs and it rocks a lot harder than the stuff they do now.
P.S. My band, Talk More Better, is covering this song in our debut album "In Our Minds". You can check out the launch date and other stuff at our website, jdandchuckproductions.webs.com |

While it is true that Metallica could kick Slipknot's butt anytime they wanted to, I have to say that Slipknot is one of the best and most influential metal bands of all time. I also happen to think Joey Jordison of Slipknot is a much better drummer than Lars Ulrich. But don't get me wrong, Metallica is my favorite band ever, but never say Slipknot sucks. |

I like this song because it's really evil sounding, which is what Metallica was best at. The thought of being trapped in your own body really is frightening. And you think "Oh, it'll be over soon", but no, it goes on for the rest of your natural life. And then, when you do die, how do you know it? |

Okay, this is what puzzles me. The Cliff Burton tribute movie is called "To Live is to Die". Okay, that's fine and dandy, but Cliff didn't even do To Live Is To Die, because the last one he did was Master of Puppets. That song is on ...And Justice For All, which King Faggot Jason Newstead did. But whatever.
P.S. Jason's a fag cause he quit the band. I mean, you're playing with Metallica, the greatest band of all time, and you're getting paid. What more could you want??? |

OH YEAH!!! I completely forgot about Steve Harris. He's really good. Not as good as Cliff, but real good. Dude, I saw Maiden live on time with like Slipknot and Black Sabbath, and Harris was like down to the ground on that bass. He was totally opening up. |

You know, I can't really say what exactly this song is about, but I'll tell you I hated it for a while. It was okay (I had only listened to it about 3 times) and my friend Ryan, who thinks like every good band sucks (i.e. Disturbed, Avenged 7 fold, Gallows, Guns N' Roses, etc.), liked it. After a while it grew on me, and now it's my favorite song on this album. Go figure. |
