maybe the give my gun away/ how am i supposed to hold it if you wont shoot it is about a person wanting sex in a relationship, but the other wont give it to them. therefore, how is the other person supposed to hold the all the sex urge in them if the other person wont do it with them. the person then cheats to have sex and feels bad about it: leave me out with the trash. |

my interpretation of this song:
for me, i think this song is about cheating on someone you love. and they cant stop thinking about the person they had the affair with. also the person they had the affair with came on to them too quickly, not giving them enuf time to really think about what they were doing and how it wud hurt the other person, but they still kinda wanted to do it. when he says "so it's not hard to fall
when you float like a cannonball", i think that means after he cheated, its hard to keep the relationship good, therefore its easy for a relationship to have problems when someone cheated. |
