| The Flaming Lips – The Spark That Bled Lyrics | 12 years ago |
| This song is about dying....as is the whole album. The spark that bled is you/a human. The Soft Bulletin is being born/realizing that you will die. Standing up is just say...though I realize I am going to die I have made the decision to accept it and live before I do. And that decision causes a chain reaction among other people who have been thinking the same thing but did not have the inner force to say it out loud. And the people who are holding on to what they never had are holding on to a notion of the afterlife while squandering the actual life that they have been given. | |

| Sublime cover which definitely falls on the side of passion. | |
| Stevie Wonder – If You Really Love Me Lyrics | 14 years ago |
| Love this song. It's about that point when you have a feeling bubbling over inside for someone else but they are not quite there with you but you can't move on an you haven't been able to get them to say how they feel. | |

I think this song is abut being really into someone and not being able to express it or not telling them yet and thinking about them all the time. "This much delight Fills columns to new heights All these things about me you never can tell Colours run prime Paint a picture so bright All these things about me you never can tell You make me sleep so badly invisible friend" I think the "invisible friend" is the thought of the person that is always around. And the "Sleeps so badly" is staying up to think about them. The whole thing about her words falling short is like envisioning letting the person know and words not being adequate. |

| Vampire Weekend – Run Lyrics | 16 years ago |
| I think this song as a whole getting away from the normal course of a life. Which is growing up getting a job and getting sucked into the day to day. I think running isn't about eloping but trying to get off the grid completely away from everything that we end up having no choice about doing. When he sings "She said you know there's no place left to go" I think he's talking about everyone being so connected that even if someone wanted to disappear go off the grid it's not really that easy anymore. Which is why at the end of each chorus her says, "We could try!". I think the little battered radio would be both the means of existence=music and the only connection to the outside world. The album is called Contra I think most songs are aligned against something in some way. | |
