I was just watching a video of an in studio appearance The Swell Season did for Last.fm where Glen Hansard said that this song was about redemption. Basically, trying to fix something that is broke, and then, if you can't fix it, sending it on it's way. [Watch the video here - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3cXIa3U_jvA ] I think that fits perfectly with the lyrics (of course). Anyway, Swell Season is amazing, and Glen Hansard did a great job writing such a beautiful piece! Glen and Marketa are both very talented people! |
