Wow, no one has commented on this song yet? It's amazing! The beat and the lyrics...everything. Probably my favorite song on "These Hopeful Machines" When I'm listening to this song I think of someone who has been through the toughest situations of life. Someone has been broken down multiple times. But he (for the sake of the voice of the song) keep on rebuilding himself to become something more "perfect". Almost like he was human once but he kept on rebuilding himself with robotic parts. He meets someone whom has so much effect on him, and he really wants their love, however he cannot obtain it due to the fact that he has lost so much of himself that or that person doesn't love him back even though their love is probably the most perfect thing to complete him. In my head I see him breaking down, literly. Ripping apart all of the robotic parts that has built up to create him and he's left with nothing but his inner child (ending of the song is sung by a child). Haha my view on it might not make any sense, but it makes sense in my head. |
