To me, this signifies his knowing that his marriage is over (once again) and that he's tried everything he can to make it work. A true story song, it takes you from the beginning (Mountains of FAITH), because we all have faith when we start out in a relationship. Valley of Fear is the fear most couples have that it will someday end... I don't know why I go walking at night But now I'm tired and I don't want to walk anymore I hope it doesn't take the rest of my life Jungle of Doubt - He starts to doubt if it will work out and he is searching for something so undefined, nobody can explain it, including himself. Now he ends up at the Desert of the TRUTH, whre he finally realises that it will never work out, and he has to call it quits. As happy and bouncy as the rhythm of the song is, I believe it's a pretty sad song about a man who's been looking for love all his life, and it never seems to work out. Until I find what it is that I've been looking for - He's tired of trying to work it out, and he hopes he will someday find a love that will last. I noticed that his first marriage lasted 9 years, his second marriage lasted 9 years, and his third marriage lasted 5 years. I hope he finds what he's been looking for someday.... |

| Probably the most emotionally intense lyrics he has ever written, and that's tough to beat as most of his songs have strong meaning to him. This is simply a father making sure his daughter knows he will always be there for her... | |
