| Taylor Swift – Brought Up That Way Lyrics

Taylor put herself in the song. Here, she's "Emily," and it's like a more tragic version of Taylor's life. She gets bullied in school, and once she gets older, her boyfriend pressures her to have sex with him. These are two hard things she goes through, and her father gives her advice to cope and defends her. The same happened with Taylor. The song also incorporates some of Taylor's biggest fears: her beloved mother dying, untimely death, getting into a car accident (I don't think Taylor was the best driver as a teenager, and that's why), hurting loved ones or unintentionally leaving them behind. I love this song because it's about finding the hope and strength to persist in life when things get rough and then relying on your loved ones in these situations. It's also about being a good parent, as shown by the devoted father. |

| Taylor Swift – Dark Blue Tennessee Lyrics

This song is so tragic! It's so subtle and understated, and that's what makes it so beautiful. This song is about a couple that splits up, and they're both too cowardly and proud to admit to each other that they're hurting and still in love with each other. Finally, the guy can't take the pain anymore and commits suicide. In his suicide note, he finally confesses that he still loved her and that he was so depressed. And now he'll be in Tennessee for eternity; she doesn't have to wonder or worry anymore. |

She's in love with a superstar and he'll never know, and so this brings her pain and sadness. That's really about it, but it's very relatable and a very pretty song. |

This song is the source of my username! Ha. I think this song is really intelligent. If you dig deep, I think it's really inspirational, especially considering Taylor wrote this when she was twelve. Basically, she's saying how everyone thinks she is so strange, but she embraces her differences. She just tries to better herself, and she feels like she is too big for her little town. She knows she's special and that people just can't see that right now, but she's going to help them later on. But right now, she's just going to do what she loves to do. |

Yeah, this song is just a summary of everything Taylor Swift learned looking back on her freshman year of high school. She moved to a new school, made new friends (including Abigail), and dated a hot-shot senior. She thought her boyfriend was so important, but in the end, she realized that her dreams were worth so much more. It's also about being young and naive, and believing everything you hear. She and Abigail desperately wanted to be loved, but only were taken advantage of as a result. Abigail lost her virginity and regretted it, and Taylor learned from her best friend's pain. Taylor is just looking back on a time where she did not know who she was, but when she thought she did know everything. This song also talks about many exciting firsts that Taylor goes through, and how she can never get those back. It's an amazing song, and really sums up the experiences of a teenage.r |

I don't think this song has to be about a boyfriend. I think it's just about losing a relationship with a person, and how hard that can be. |

| Miley Cyrus – Simple Song Lyrics

This is describing the stressful rush of the entertainment business. The person involved...Miley, in this instance...is so caught up in the whole thing, she barely gets to direct herself or make any decisions. Sometimes she wishes she can just put the world at peace for a moment and hear a "simple song" to calm her down. |

She's just missing an old love that she has. She's wondering what happened to it, why it had to end. She doesn't understand where all that love went that she shared with the person, and doesn't understand how something so great could end so quickly and devastatingly. But, she is going to try to be happy and she is telling the other person to do the same. |

I totally agree. That part always gets to me! You can tell this song really pains him, his voice tells it all. Yeah, it's definitely about Miley. He wrote it two weeks after they broke up. |

Oh, and that part about the letter--Miley wrote Nick a 10 page letter (fron and back) when they broke up, explaining how much she loved him but why she had to leave. This song is beautiful <3 |

Yeah, this song is clearly about Miley. That line really kills me: "I don't want to fall asleep, 'cause I don't know if I'll get up." He really, really loved her. And she left. This is him regretting everything he did, and he wishes she would've stayed. Sigh. This song really gets to me. |

Yeah, this is about how she left Nick. She kept hesitating, because she loved him, but she realized it was the best thing. She wasn't sure how to go about it, I know; one day she just told him she couldn't do it anymore. I love this song. |

| Nick Jonas & The Administration – Stronger (Back On the Ground) Lyrics

Don't kill me for this, but it almost sounds like he had sex with a girl: "Wake up to the alarm and the phone; Trying to stick out; Stuck in a world don't belong; Sometimes something so right can be wrong; Feeling weakness; 'Cause gravity is taking its toll". I think he wants to make a relationship work with a girl that he loves, and he's making her stronger, but he's not sure how long this will last. But he wants it to last as long as possible, but doesn't trust her too much. When he finally gets his feet back on the ground, meaning when he shakes himself out of his lovesickness. |

I feel like he's being pressured into sex by a girl he loves, against his will. He's telling her to "run around with someone else", and leave him alone because what she wants is not what he wants. She'll say that she has an "emergency", when she really just wants him to come to her quickly. It's like she's crying wolf, and he keeps falling for it, and he's mad about that, but he just loves her so much. He doesn't want to let her go, but he knows that she'll soon be letting him go. As in, she's going to let him fall. |

Yes, I agree with xothefancykid. It's about how he's so desperately in love with a girl, but he doesn't want her to know that he'd do anything for her because she'd take advantage of it. And it sounds like to me that he's afraid of her and she's afraid of herself, and although he wants to help her, she just pushes him away and treats him poorly. All of this is breaking his heart, and he knows that he means less to her than what she means to him. |
