I can see how this can be interpretated as a song about US soldiers and all that and I think you all are correct, but I like to view this song as one about the Holocaust. (mainly because I read a lot about it) "Did they even have a reason why? Countless sons and daughters left to die.." they = Nazis That's just my point of view.. beautiful song! |

No one has commented on this great song? :) To me this song is about a man who loves to travel and it makes his life complete. He needs nothing more. Therefore the open roads "call to his soul like a wolf to the moon". I personaly love this reference :) My favourite lines are "Chasing the sun as it sets in the sky Swear that I'll catch it someday Lights of the city behind are fading away" , mostly because I love that feeling too :) |

Now that I've read your comments, they seem a lot more meaningful that mine, but anyways. To me this song is about someone asking himself - if my life ends tomorrow, have I done everything I have to? Have I said to the one I love what I feel for them? yes I know the song is not about that, but to me it is, because it explains how I feel. The "I missed the sound of your voice, the silence seems so loud" line and "It's been so hard, you should know", I like to think it's about somebody wanting to tell someone he loves them, but he kept it a secret - yet he decides to tell them now, because if he dies tomorrow, he will be sorry he didn't say it. |

I love this song. I think the meaning is kinda clear - about a man, maybe werewolf? (lycantrophy maybe? it's kinda confusing for me, something like that definetly) in love with a woman, which he cannot be with 'cause of the monster he is. Despite that she still loves him and wants to "make the love complete tonight". The 'Someones at the door, understanding, too demanding' part is about the full moon (according to my thoughts, I may be wrong. ) "Knock on the door, and scream that is soon ending Mess on the floor again..." this part sounds to me like the man, once turned into a beast/werewolf (not sure, whatever, the point is the same), can't hold himself anymore and I think he may have killed that woman.. (or another person, but the lyrics kinda imply that its her) I think I'm really wrong in this part, but.. "She should not lock the open door", "See what became out of her man.." Correct me if I'm wrong, please.. :) |
