Pat yourself on the back!" after someone completely fails at something while convinced that they are doing it right. I could be kicking the bucket But, you should know, I never had very good aim "According to the righteous, the sinners will die. Burn in Hell, justice served to them, whatever. He is saying that, sure, that would apply to him...but it doesn't. He blames it on his inability to kick the bucket, but again it's sarcasm. It's because the justice they are waiting for is BS."
