i think not only is this song about a bad trip but its about giving in to something because ultimately thats what your doing when you do drugs and so i think slug might have given himself to something or some one and it turned out badly hence the bad trip. |

and when he says "love is nothing scared of sucess" i think that means that love used to be everything it was more valuable and now sucess (which refers to money in alot of cases) over powers love in our society because thats all people seem to care about which is sad. |

its someone talking to slug maybe ant but im i think its someone bigger than ant almost and he is saying you think your the only that has been through struggles and hard times and made it this far but your not. but the difference between the guys are that one has been through alot but he doesnt feel the need to talk about it because he is secure with how far he has come in his life and the other guy (maybe slug) feels like he needs to tell everyone for closure or security or to feel accomplished. |

he could have robbed the store and taken the car but instead he did the right thing because its not really who he is. and the boy could symbolize himself when he was younger and he would have said yes to the temptations..but then the boy gets scared and realizes the full extent of what he was about to do which shows his struggle with identity.and when he finally gets to his destination and the person isnt their it shows the change in his life.so i think its about identity and doing the right thing and definately temptations and how we would react to them before compared to how we do now. |
