"I am as you're afraid" sounds more like "I AM is your refrain" to me. Also, I think "procreate" should be "proclaim." |

Yeah, I recently realized the "PeTals" thing myself. It kinda hit hard when I finally realized how graphic the imagery was and it just made the song all the more powerful to me. Something tells me Tooth & Nail made them put the lyrics as "pedals" so people wouldn't realize what he was talking about. I always thought the line "her pedals are slowly torn away" meant that her means of escape were stripped from her, but "petals" makes much more sense, especially with the line immediately following, "Scarlet adorns the snow." I suppose I shouldn't ascribe bad motives to the record label, though, it could've just been a typo. It's just ironic because this has been my favorite Zao song for years and was also the first one I ever heard, and I'm just now (as of a month or two ago) realizing the full meaning of the song. |

@ str1ngcheese I'll admit that that acronym has come to my mind before, but no. I'm pretty sure it's a song about a woman/lover/etc. |
